The new Xiaomi CIVI 4 Pro is a mobile phone that leaves behind the “expensiveness” of previous generations and goes for a modest style, but it is still very functional. Of course, Xiaomi sells no less than seven colors, three of which represent a more sporty aesthetic, thanks to the large black plate that reminds us of POCO (albeit vertically). The latter are produced by Glass, vegan leather or a combination of both (depending on version).
But be careful, don’t panic. Xiaomi’s less commitment to aesthetics in this generation translates into important improvements in other areas, and we like that.
The first thing is the screen, because in CIVI 4 Pro you will find better quality, more brightness and resistance to cruelty. We no longer have a curved side panel, but we continue to opt for a 6.55 inch AMOLED panel with 120 Hz refresh rate and HDR10+. This time, the resolution is 1.2K, the maximum brightness of 3000 nits is twice that of the previous generation and the protection is provided by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
At its heart is the new Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, a beastly powerful chip that rivals the best SoCs on the market. It comes with 12 or 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256 or 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The operating system, as it could not be otherwise, is HyperOS runs on Android 14.
With a telephoto camera and optics signed by LEICA, the CIVI 4 Pro is truly impressive.
If we go to the cameras, there are also some interesting surprises because Xiaomi seems to have taken the Realme example with the Realme 12 Pro. For the first time in this series, we have a phone camera, a 50 MP sensor with PDAF. and 2x optical zoom. The main camera repeats at 50 MP, but it has a very good focal length of f/1.6, PDAF and OIS. The third rear camera is a 12MP ultra-wide-angle 120º field of view. On the front, they repeat the two 32 MP cameras (yes, two).One of them with 100º view. And yes, the lenses are signed by Leica.

As you can see, Xiaomi CIVI 4 Pro is a brown beast. It does justice to that “Pro” moniker in its name, as it’s a premium mobile phone for the first time by all accounts. It is now sold in China Standard versions: black, blue, pink and green. The fuchsia, turquoise and white versions will go on sale later.
In addition, you should know that the price is really crazy (better) because with all these improvements we expect a very expensive terminal. However, compared to the Xiaomi CIVI 2, the price increase is only 50 euros, which is how it is.
