What does the UGREEN Nexode 65W Travel Charger look like?
Although it’s not one of the smallest fast chargers we’ve tested, the UGREEN Nexode 65W is compact enough to take anywhere with you without any hassle. It weighs only 330 grams (which is roughly equivalent to two smartphones) and is 6.5 centimeters long and 3.25 centimeters thick.
It is square in format and thanks to the fact that the plugs can be removed, it does not take up much space in your pocket or bag. As for the build quality, it is made of strong and durable plastic that can withstand high impact. It has a two-tone look, dark gray sides and a light gray front and back plate.
The box includes three different plugs for the EU (large part of Europe, including Spain), US (United States, Latin America, Japan, etc.) and UK (United Kingdom) regions. They are all interchangeable, which means you can easily put them on and take them off without using any tools. The charger has a system where you fit the plug you want to use by pressing it until it clicks.
To remove the plug, simply press the button on the charger and pull the plug. We haven’t had any issues with this interchangeable plug system – it works very well and the plugs fit in and out effortlessly. By the way, the American plug is retractable, so you can fold it so that it does not take up much space. EU and UK plugs do not have this feature.
There is another very useful accessory that the UGREEN Nexode 65W includes in the box. A charger or bag is a bag that holds both the charger and the three replacement plugs. It’s not made of special material or anything like that, but it does keep the charger and accessories in one place and protects it from scratches.
How does the UGREEN Nexode 65W fast charger work?
As the name suggests, the UGREEN Nexode 65W has a maximum charging power of 65 W. However, it should be noted that this power can only be achieved using one of the USB-C ports. Additionally, your device must support 65W or more input with PD 3.0 or QC 4+ protocols.
If you plug the two devices into their USB-C ports at the same time, you’ll get 45W from one and 20W from the other. As for the USB-A port, it only gives you a maximum of 22.5W. And if you use all three ports at the same time, the power is distributed like this: 45 W + 8.5 W + 8.5 W.
