Honor Magic V Flip: Specifications, Price And Technical Sheet

Honor Magic V Flip: specifications, price and technical sheet

Honor has gone on to many interesting beginnings. At the end of May, it revealed the new Honor 200 and 200 Pro in style, as they are its most powerful options of the moment and now it has decided to make room for its foldable mobile parts. The new Honor Magic V Flip is less powerful than the Honor Magic V2 and offers a smaller but cheaper alternative among flip phones.

Either way, it remains an interesting option. This is the first flagship foldable phone to take the form of clamshell phones, only modernized with two usable screens, each with interesting details. Below we explain everything about the new mobile launched in China.

Although the Honor Magic V Flip looks like a humble version of the brand’s foldable phones, it does not lack in features. It is a good option, and the emphasis that the company decided to place on the external screen to improve ergonomics is very impressive. And, with a screen-to-body ratio of 85% and a (folded) size of 4 inches, it will be enough to use this screen for most tasks, just like on a regular model.

Both screens come with LTPO OLED panel, internal (6.8 inches) full HD+ resolution and external 1200 x 1092 pixels. Both have a wide DCI-P3 color gamut and a 120 Hz refresh rate.

In terms of performance, this is dictated by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, which is enough to ensure a smooth experience in most situations. Depending on the configuration, it is available with 12 or 16 GB of RAM, as well as 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB of storage.

The photography department looks modest, but that doesn’t make it any less impressive. The rear camera includes a 50 MP Sony IMX906 main sensor with wide angle, f/1.9 aperture, optical image stabilization and electronic image stabilization. It comes with a secondary 12 MP ultra wide angle sensor. The front camera is also 50 MP (Sony IMX816 sensor) with f/2.0 aperture.

All this is supported by a 4800 mAh battery, made of lithium-ion polymer, suitable for a foldable mobile phone in design (when split in two) and 66 W fast charging. The device includes Android 14 from the factory under MagicOS 8.0 customization layer.
