The error that YouTube Vanced is giving “The following content is not available on this app” is caused by the GmsCore (MicroG) update. And as VancedTeam explained on Discord (via Reddit ), YouTube recently made some changes that forced GmsCore to be updated.
This means that you have an outdated version of GmsCore (Vanced microG) instead of GmsCore (Vanced microG) giving you the error when playing YouTube Vanced videos. New: ReVanced-GmsCore. But don’t worry, below we will tell you how to update YouTube Vanced’s GmsCore so that you can enjoy this app again.
How to fix YouTube Vanced “The following content is not available” error
The first thing you need to do is to uninstall the YouTube and GmsCore (Micro G) app on your phone.. To do this, go to your phone’s settings and look for these two apps to uninstall in the Apps section. Once done, follow these steps to install YouTube Vanced with the new ReVanced-GmsCore:
After you have uninstalled YouTube and Gymcore (MicroG) from your phone, open the Vance Magner application, tap on Open in the Patcher section and select Select App. The next thing is to click on Storage and select the new YouTube APK. Click on Patch and Patch. Remember to download the APK recommended by Vanced Maganer for your device, i.e. the APK shown in “Recommended: v.0.0.0.0”.
Once the APK has finished patching, click Install to install. When the installation is complete, click Open to open YouTube Vanced. When YouTube Vanced opens, a pop-up window will show that you have not installed GmsCore (since we uninstalled the old version).
Then a web page where you can download the new GmsCore (Micro G) will automatically open in your browser. If it doesn’t happen, here’s the link to open it yourself ReVanced-GmsCore GitHub on the web Click Download here to download the new GmsCore (Micro G). Finally, when it’s finished downloading, click Install and a pop-up window will start to install the new ReVanced-GmsCore. Wait for it to finish and voila, you will have YouTube Vanced working again.
