Instagram is constantly renewing itself to keep the platform fresh and adapted to the current times. However, renovations also bring problems, as they change the position of some options that we were used to finding in a specific place. This is the case of the option to pin a post on Instagram that has recently stopped appearing in the application after an update.

Why can’t I pin a post on my Instagram profile?
From what we’ve been able to investigate, Instagram does not limit anyone’s ability to pin posts. However, it does removed this option from the options menu (⁝) of posts when they are displayed in the feed. So if you can’t pin a post to your profile, it’s because you’re pinning it from your feed and not from your profile.
How to Pin a Post to Your Instagram Profile: New Method
The usual way to pin a post was to tap the three dots that appeared in the top right corner of the post and select “Pin to Profile”. However, this option is no longer available on many mobile phones and the new way to pin posts consists of following these steps:
- Open Instagram and go to your profile (by tapping the icon in the lower right corner).
- In the post grid, long press the post you want to pin until a floating window appears.
- Without stopping touching the screen, slide your finger on the options button (⁝).
- In the tab below, select Add to profile.
You can also add a post to your profile by going to your profile, selecting the post you want to add, tapping the three dots in the top right corner, and clicking “Add to Profile” (If you don’t see this option, scroll to the bottom of the options list.since it is the last of all).
How many posts can be pinned on Instagram
For now, You can only post a maximum of 3 posts. on your Instagram profile. If you try to pin more than 3, the oldest post you pinned will be unpinned.
I can’t unblock a post on Instagram: solution
The process to unblock a post is exactly the same as the blocking process we explained earlier. The only difference is that the final option is not called “Add to Profile”, but rather “Unlock from profile« Now, if you have already pressed this option and the post still shows as blocked, it is due to an Instagram issue that means you need to wait several minutes for it to be unblocked.
This bug mostly occurs on Android devices, and as of this writing, There is no known solution other than waiting for the post to unblock after a few minutes.. Sometimes the post is immediately unblocked, but it is not reflected. In this case, simply clearing the Instagram cache will completely unblock the post.
