For years, The standard for a decent cell phone battery was 5000 mAh. With this figure you were guaranteed more than a whole day of use without problems and even more so if you had a well-optimized device.
However, if you’ve been paying attention to the new generation of flagship phones, you’ve definitely noticed it battery capacity is increased in almost everyone. This is mainly due to two things: the excessive brightness of their screens and the consumption of beasts like the Snapdragon 8 Elite or the Dimensity 9400.
This has led to phones like the Xiaomi 15 Pro having a 6100 mAh battery, ROG Phone 9 at 5800 mAh, Huawei Mate 70 Pro+ at 5700 mAh and so on. However, there is a company that wants to go even further: Realme is preparing to launch a mobile phone with 8000 mAh battery which, in turn, will be thin. How far will we go with this?
The Realme GT8 Pro could have a battery of up to 8000 mAh, wild
Seeing phones with 6000 mAh batteries or more is no longer a thing for mid-range and off-road devices. According to a leak from Digital chat station (DCS for friends), Realme would be preparing to present a device that, in itself, would practically be a power bank.
DCS emphasizes that the company is testing different battery configurations for Realme GT 8 Proits flagship mobile phone that will be presented in 2025. The Chinese brand is reportedly testing a battery of 7000 mAh, 7500 mAh and up to 8000 mAh for this devicetotal ferocity. Why do we say this? Because the current Realme GT7 Pro already has a 6500mAh battery, which is quite large.
With this, Realme aims to be at the forefront of autonomy in the premium mobile market. Such a feature will obviously attract the attention of some users, as happened at the time with Realme GT5, GT Neo 5 and GT3. These have 240W fast charging, being able to bring the batteries from 0% to 100% in just 10 minutes.
However, there is a small detail with the future Realme GT 8 Pro: DCS reveals it Realme aims to keep the thickness of the device at baytherefore they will have to sacrifice charging power. Therefore, as the battery capacity increases lcharging power may be reduced up to 120W, 100W or even 80W. In any case, all these figures give very good charging speeds and, moreover, they do not degrade the battery so quickly, so they do not cause noise.
How do you hope to achieve this? Thanks to yours new battery technology called “Titan”with which they hope to offer up to three days of battery life on their mobile phones. In fact, Realme itself has already announced the first device that will bring this technology: the Realme Neo7, which will have a capacity of 7000 mAh.
Do we already have a release date for Realme GT 8 Pro or Realme Neo7 with their super batteries? Not yet, but expected in 2025. Will they arrive in Spain with such a battery capacity? Probably, especially if the charging power has been reduced.
