CaixaBank users were alerted to a message ending the era of NowPay. And the bank has decided to release this application. In the coming days, NowPay will stop working on Android and iOS devices, leaving all its work on CaixaBankNow, another CaixaBank-related app.
It should be noted that this does not mean that there will be problems anymore. You are not risking your money in the bank either. It’s just to turn off the application, it seems, which was less and less useful, and which already did the same thing next to it and even has another option.
NowPay has stopped working: you must now use CaixaBankNow
“The NowPay app will stop working in the coming days. All operations are still available in CaixaBankNow, your digital bank. That was the text message sent to CaixaBank users, informing them of the new change. NowPay as an app, Bizum had the opportunity to have a more user-friendly interface while sending. Aside from this, it fulfills the same functions as the CaixaBankNow app.
The loss of NowPay shouldn’t sound too bad because in fact CaixaBankNow is a complete application where you can manage many activities related to your bank account. From the basics (sending or requesting money), such as making donations, requesting, activating, reloading or blocking cards, adding payment methods, QR Bizum, as well as providing information about offices and ATMs. CaixaBank is one of the options to pay with NFC, as well as Google Pay in Spain.
The CaixaBankNow app is available for Android and iOS. You may have already chosen to use this method to manage your bank account from the start. The important thing is to remember that NowPay is no longer a viable option and if you have this app, it’s best to delete it. After all, it won’t allow you to log into your account or manage any activity in your days.
