Telegram just released an update to get you up to speed new design language of the iPhone and brand new new features very interesting. That’s right, Telegram just adopted the iOS 26 Liquid Glass that arrived with the new iPhone 17.
Now, unfortunately This Telegram redesign is only available for iPhone and iPads making the leap to iOS 26… Do you have an Android cell phone? Well, don’t worry, you will be able to enjoy the rest of the new features in this update.

Telegram just posted on his official blog all the news that the update 12.1 of this messaging app. This update is already rolling out worldwide and you can receive it by downloading the latest version from your mobile store (Play Store or App Store).
We summarize below everything new that Telegram 12.1 brings:
- Liquid Glass for iOS 26– The interface now has the iOS 26 design. The bottom navigation bar, keyboard, sticker panel, among other elements, have a transparent style with refraction effects when scrolling.
- Notes for contacts– You can add a private note to contacts you add to remember information about them (how you met them, where they work, etc.).
- Comments and reactions to group calls– Participants in calls or video calls with fewer than 1,000 people can post temporary comments and reactions that will appear briefly in the interface.
- Suggest the birthday– In a contact’s information you can suggest a birthday so they can add it to their profile, making it easier to celebrate their friends.
- Conversation thread for chatbots– Bots now support threads to handle multiple topics in parallel.
- Broadcasting responses for chatbots– Chatbots can now broadcast responses as they are generated, instead of waiting for the complete response.
- Improvements in the gifts section– The interface for sending gifts is more optimized, and the cost of collectible gift upgrades gradually decreases.
- Cancellation of gift signatures– You can now remove descriptions (signature and personalized message) from gifts you receive.
- Show blockchain gifts– If you connect your account to Fragment, you can now view the collectible gifts you own on the blockchain in your Telegram profile.
- Miniapp errors and suggestions– to report bugs and suggest new features, it is now available as an official mini-app (Bugs and suggestions) to do so.
