While other brands have made major launches, There’s no way the start of 2025 would have been complete without Samsung. For weeks we had been told to mark January 22nd on our calendar, as we had an important appointment pending.
After months of rumors, The Samsung Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra are a reality and pretty much everything we expected from them came true. Let’s look at them a little closer and get to know their characteristics, because you will surely want to know everything.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra goes up a notch: more durable, more powerful and with a new style after several years
Samsung’s new flagship finally evolves the aesthetic that we have been seeing since 2022, without completely breaking away from it. Its design is now more similar to that of its smaller brothers, with rounded corners and completely flat sides. However, Gorilla Glass Armor and IP68 protections remain the titanium frame is now grade 5 instead of 2 (more resistant). Meanwhile, the rear cameras gain more prominence, even if they follow the distribution of previous years.
Of course, the processor of this cell phone is upgraded to the best there is currently: the Snapdragon 8 Elite. This is especially useful for features like real-time call translation, advanced photo editing, and more. There is no sign anywhere of a version with an Exynos chip.

However, The ultra wide-angle camera takes a leap when it hits 50MP with f/2.0 (before 12 MP with f/2.2). The screen does not receive any changes over size, as it is now 6.9” instead of 6.8”. The QHD+ resolution, Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel, 1 to 120 Hz LTPO, and even 2600 nits peak brightness are repeated.
The 5000 mAh battery is once again present, ditto with the 45 W fast charging. wireless fast charging reaches up to 25W. And in case you’re wondering: it obviously has Android 15, which will run One UI 7 and It will have up to 7 years of updates.
The Galaxy S25 and S25+ only get a new processor (you could have tried harder, Samsung)
While the Galaxy S25 Ultra can be considered moderately “seamless,” it has at least introduced enough improvements to justify its existence as a new model. On the other hand, and as much as it pains us to say it, this is not the case with the Galaxy S25 and S25+. Samsung has only changed a few things in them, a couple of which were more than mandatory to update:
- He gave both of them a small cosmetic change by donating them greater presence to the rear cameras.
- They have mounted the Snapdragon 8 Elite and they eliminated the version with Exynos chip.
- They will arrive with Android 15One UI 7 and seven years of updates.
- The Galaxy S25 jumps on the 12GB RAM bandwagon completely.
The rest of the features remain identical to those of the Galaxy S24 and S24+including: 6.2″ and 6.7″ screens with adaptive refresh rate up to 120 Hz and brightness up to 2600 nits; the 50 MP + 10 + 12 MP rear cameras and the 12 MP front one; 4000 mAh (S25) and 4900 mAh (S25+) batteries with 25 W (S25) or 45 W (S25+) fast charging and 15 W wireless charging (both); as well as Gorilla Glass Victus 2, Armor Aluminum 2 (frames) and IP68 protections.
