Before we start looking at their differences and common points, we leave you a comparison technical sheet if you want to evaluate the specifications yourself.
The Galaxy A25 5G screen is on another level, and so is the design!
Both devices have the same design with a plastic body and side fingerprint reader. However, the Galaxy A25 5G is a bit more premium. For starters, the drop-shaped Note is more compact, the body is slightly smaller and thinner (although they weigh the same), the camera design is minimal (similar to Samsung’s high-end) and it has a “button island” (a side button panel that protrudes from the frame) that allows you to press the buttons. It makes the function more ergonomic.
Now the main difference between these two phones is the screen. The Galaxy A25 5G features a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution (1080 x 2340 pixels), 120 Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 1000 nits. This allows the Galaxy A23 5G to offer brighter colors, deeper blacks and more brightness than the Galaxy A23 5G if the panel is LCD and the maximum brightness of 457 nits.

In fact, there are no differences in performance and battery
Another important difference between the two models (at least on paper) is the processor. The Galaxy A25 5G is powered by the Samsung Exynos 1280, an octa-core chip with a top speed of 2.8 GHz and a Mali-G68 graphics card. The Galaxy A23 5G, on the other hand, has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695, an octa-core chip with a top speed of 2 GHz and an Adreno 619 graphics card. Both processors are compatible with 5G networks, but the Exynos 1280 is slightly more so. More powerful and efficient than Snapdragon 695 (6% more according to AnTuTu).
Both phones have a lot of options when it comes to RAM and internal storage. The Galaxy A25 5G can be optioned with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The Galaxy A23 5G can be purchased with 4GB, 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 64 or 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. In both cases, the capacity can be expanded up to 1 TB using a microSD card. In short, there are no big differences in the memory department.
The battery is another aspect where the two devices agree. Both have a capacity of 5000 mAh, which allows them to provide good autonomy. Similarly, they support up to 25W fast charging via cable, but no wireless charging.
They don’t differ much in camera, but Galaxy A25 5G wins in software support
The two Samsung models share some features in their cameras, such as a 50 MP main sensor with optical image stabilization and a 2 MP macro sensor. However, there are some important differences that can affect the quality of photos and videos. The Galaxy A25 5G has a high-resolution ultra-wide-angle camera (8 MP vs 5 MP) and a wider field of view (120º vs 123º), allowing you to capture more details and wider scenes.
The Galaxy A25 5G can also record 4K videos at 30fps while the Galaxy A23 5G stays at the same frame rate at 1080p. As for the front camera, the Galaxy A25 5G is better than the Galaxy A23 5G at 13 MP compared to the other model’s 8 MP. These differences might make the Galaxy A25 5G a better option for photography and video enthusiasts, but it has to be said that the Galaxy A23 5G isn’t far behind in this department.
Where the Galaxy A25 5G makes a big difference is the software support. It comes with Android 13 out of the box and gets four years of support. That is, it will be updated to Android 17. Instead, the Galaxy A23 5G came out with Android 12. It has been updated to Android 13 this year, and the Android 14 update is expected to be the last.
Samsung Galaxy A25 5G vs. Which Galaxy A23 5G Should You Buy?
In short, Samsung Galaxy A25 5G is a great option. It offers a higher resolution AMOLED display, slightly better performance, smoother design, better camera and longer software support. The cheapest version costs 299 euros.
Now, the 4 GB RAM version of the Galaxy A23 5G costs 89 euros less than the 6 GB RAM version of the Galaxy A25 5G. It’s a significant difference that makes the Galaxy A23 5G more valuable. If you don’t mind the lower screen resolution and Android 14 will stop updating after, the A23 5G is a great buy as the performance and camera are not inferior to the A25 5G.
