What is the 70mai Dash Cam Omni like and what does it come in the box?

I can say with complete certainty that I fell in love with the 70mai Dash Cam Omni from its packaging. comes in a very cool box in which you will not only find the dash cam, but also MaiX, the brand’s virtual pet that will accompany you when driving thanks to its 1.2 inch 60Hz screen. This panel is not only used to interact with MaiX; It also allows you to see live what the camera records and make some adjustments.

In terms of design, I was surprised that despite being rotating (with all the internal mechanisms that this implies) it actually It has a discreet size that does not obstruct the windshield. In addition, its capsule-shaped design has a matte finish on the base and a glossy finish on the chamber that feels very premium and solid to the touch.

On one side there is a USB-C port where the dash cam is powered and on the other side it has a power button and two navigation buttons (up and down) for quick adjustments. But what I liked the most is its large camera sensor that automatically rotates to any side.

It is a wide angle camera with a very wide field of vision of 140°. This sensor can record with resolution 1080p at 60 FPSTherefore, the images it offers are of high quality and very fluid, unlike other dash cams that I have tested in which the recording is choppy and fails in terms of sharpness, exposure and contrast.

To this we must add that the sensor of the 70mai Dash Cam Omni has a wide aperture of f/1.5 and is equipped with HDR technology, which allows it to guarantee a good performance at night or in poorly lit areas. In no other dash cam have I seen such a level of clarity and brightness when recording at night.

What else does the 70mai Dash Cam Omni have? Well, internally it is equipped with top-notch technology to achieve the functions that I will describe to you later. It has integrated GPS, Wi-Fi (WLAN), ADA, Artificial Intelligence, speaker and microphone for voice control. Additionally, you can add connection 4Galthough to do this you must complement it with the 70mai Hardwire Kit module that is sold separately.

At this point you must be imagining that it must surely be very difficult to install a dash cam with such a level of features. But no, quite the opposite.

Its installation is very easy… Everything you need is included in the box!

The ease with which I was able to install the 70mai Dash Cam Omni in my car is incredible. Despite being a device that has the latest in technology, the brand managed to make its assembly the simplest and most comfortable process possible. In fact, I only had to watch the 1-minute video that I leave above to install it. Don’t need anything else.

Another positive thing about the 70mai Dash Cam Omni is that you don’t require anything additional for installation. Everything you need is included in your box. To start, you have to stick the electrostatic adhesive to the windshield in one of the two places recommended by the brand (on one side of the rearview mirror or in the passenger area).

Once this is done, We glue the dash cam support to the electrostatic adhesive right where it indicates. And that’s it, with this we have completed the assembly of the 70mai Dash Cam Omni. Now it’s time to supply it with energy.

For this we have two options. One of them is use the car cigarette lighter socketconnecting the vehicle charger that comes in the box and has a USB-A output. To this we connect the USB-C cable to the dash cam and that’s it. We can also connect it directly to the fuse box with the 4G module (this is the most recommended if you want to enjoy all the functions).

This is the application of the 70mai Dash Cam Omni

Once you complete the installation of the 70mai Dash Cam Omni, the next step is Link it to your mobile through its application (available on Android and iOS). This is done with the 70mai app (below I leave the download boxes). And don’t worry, learning how to use this application is very easy. It didn’t take me even 5 minutes to do it.

What you have to do is press on Add device and wait for the app to scan and find the dash cam (remember to have it on). Once you find it, the app will guide you through the setup process of the 70mai Dash Cam Omni. You can adjust the language, recording resolution, clip duration, rotating camera position, set a password and activate its smart functions.

And yes, the application is essential to use this dash cam, since Through it you can view the camera remotely and in real timeaccess recordings, receive emergency notifications if strange movements are detected near the car or collisions, and Enable (or disable) features of the 70mai Dash Cam Omni such as voice control or automatic shutdown.

The 70mai Dash Cam Omni is worth the money: here are its smart features and everything you can do with it

The 70mai Dash Cam Omni is not just any dash cam. The truth is that I have never seen so many smart features on this type of device. For me, It is the most complete camera when it comes to security and surveillance for the carmainly due to the following functions that I will comment on below:

  • 24 hour surveillance: If you leave the car in a parking lot, the dash cam can provide 24-hour surveillance with automatic activation to record when an important event is detected thanks to its detection systems.
  • Human motion detection: Combines sensors and AI to identify when an individual approaches your car suspiciously and record a clip of up to 30 seconds to record the event.
  • Collision detection: with an AI algorithm, it can detect any slight impact that your car receives and rotate the camera towards the place of impact to record a clip of up to 30 seconds that will allow you to have evidence of the accident.
  • Instant alerts to your mobile– When the dash cam detects suspicious human movement or collisions, you will receive a notification from the app on your mobile to view the video clip showing the event.
  • Remote live broadcast: From the app you can see the live broadcast of the dash cam wherever you are. And not only that, you can also rotate the camera to make the most of its 360° vision.
  • Locate your car: If you forgot where you parked your car, you can take advantage of the dash cam’s built-in GPS to see its exact location from your mobile phone through the application.
  • Driver assistance: Thanks to its ADAS technology and the data provided by GPS, the 70mai Dash Cam Omni can warn you of errors when driving to avoid road accidents such as lane departure, the presence of pedestrians, cyclists, traffic, etc.
  • voice control: with a few simple voice commands (unfortunately not available in Spanish) you can ask the dash cam to take a photo (take selfie), record a panoramic video (shoot vlog), turn right (shoot right), to the left (shoot left) or take an emergency video (shoot emergency video).
  • Fast camera– With time lapse mode you can record an entire day capturing a single frame per second to save power.

Wear: Intelligent functions with notification or remote transmission (such as parking monitoring, instant alerts and car location) require the 4G module (70mai Hardwire Kit) sold separately.

Conclusion: The 70mai Dash Cam Omni is the best dash cam you can have in your car thanks to its 24-hour smart surveillance without blind spots

There are plenty of reasons to recommend the 70mai Dash Cam Omni. As a dash cam user I must admit that it is the dash cam that has impressed me the most. The car surveillance it offers is unrivaled: total security both spatially (360° vision) and temporally (24 hours of guaranteed surveillance).

Its price is about €219.99 And if you plan to invest this amount in the safety of your car, I strongly recommend you buy it together with the 4G module (70mai Hardwire Kit €50) so you can get the most out of all its surveillance and security functions.
