Realme 13 5G arrives with 20% more power, 8GB RAM and better protection
While maintaining overall design lines quite similar to the Realme 12 5G, the Realme 13 5G undergoes significant changes in many of its specifications. An example? Now has IP64 protection against dust and waterwhich makes it more resistant than the previous phone (IP54). But this is just an example because there is more.
The Realme 13 5G maintains the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chip inside, up to 20% more powerful compared to the previously used Dimensity 6100+. Likewise, there is no longer a 6GB RAM version, but It has 8 GB in both versions (128 or 256 GB of storage space).
Realme also announced that the cooling system has been improved, so Performance will be more stable under heavy workloads. Obviously it maintains 5G connectivity and has Android 14 (with two years of guaranteed updates).
Its cameras also improve, as it ditches the 108MP Samsung HM6 (2022) sensor for a 16MP sensor. The newest and most powerful 50MP Sony LYT-600. Note that the 2MP rear auxiliary camera remains the same, but the selfie camera goes from 8MP to 16MP.
The Realme 13 5G has the same 6.72-inch IPS panel Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate of its predecessor. The same goes for the high-resolution stereo audio, the 5000 mAh battery and the 45W fast charging. There is nothing new in these sections, but we are not surprised if we take into account that the Realme 12 5G was launched in March. In addition, we have already shown you that there are improvements in other aspects.
The Realme 13+ 5G is also more powerful, has 80W charging and IP65 protection
If the base model were to introduce improvements, the plus version would obviously do the same. The most important change concerns performance, since then The Realme 13+ 5G’s Dimensity 7300 outperforms by 24% to the Dimensity 7050 of the Realme 12+ 5G.
What’s more, it does so without having to rely on more RAM or better storage, as it has the same specs as its predecessor: 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of storage space. The same goes for the operating system, which is still Android 14.
In terms of design there are three novelties, two good and one bad: the first good one is this one protection is now IP65 and the second is the improvement of the cooling system. And the bad one? That there is no longer a vegan leather version, but the body of the Realme 13+ 5G is made of plastic.
The screen does not undergo any changes, being always a 6.67” AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate and brightness up to 2000 nits. The same goes for the battery, which remains at 5000 mAh, but not as much for the charging power. Why? Why Realme 13+ 5G It has 80W charging instead of 67W.
And if you’re wondering if there are any changes to the cameras, we tell you no. The Realme 13+ 5G retains the same configuration as February: 50MP main sensor (Sony LYT-600)8MP ultra-wide angle, 2MP depth and 16MP front camera.
