Samsung has just updated the official website of the One UI customization level to make its new version based on Android 15 official. One UI 7 is now a reality and includes a handful of exciting new features for eligible Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets.
The One UI 7 beta rollout hasn’t started yet, so its final and stable version is still far from arriving. However, we now have a preview of what this level will bring us, which, as expected, puts Samsung AI at the center of everything be the big attraction of this update.
The 5 main innovations that One UI 7 will bring
These are the new features that One UI 7 will include and which were revealed by Samsung’s official website:
Redesign of icons
With One UI 7, Samsung has made slight changes to the design of its app icons. Now I am a little more rounded with a subtle 3D effect. It’s not a big deal, but that’s how it is.
Interface changes
As you can see, small aesthetic changes have also been made to the interface. Mainly on the lock screen, notification panel and quick access panel. What stands out most is the bottom of the lock screen, where there is now a new widget inspired by the latest version of iOS.
Live effect
It is one of the innovations of Galaxy AI, Samsung’s artificial intelligence, which will allow this add a depth effect to photos professionally at the push of a button.
Also added new filters to create sketches using images and functions that we already knew such as Circle to Search or real-time translation of phone calls are 100% implemented, which may present improvements or innovations compared to what One UI 6.1.1 offers.
New parental control options
Specifically, One UI incorporates two new features to regulate mobile phone use by children: requires you to install a new app (a notification will be sent to your phone every time your child wants to install an app that you need to approve or disapprove) and the lock apps with password.
Other minor news
- Ability to adjust shortcut icons
- The shortcuts and notifications drop-down bar can be independent or merged
- New app opening and closing animations
- New battery icon and charging animation bar
- New camera UI
- Added support for 5G SMS messaging
