4.38 million points in AnTuTu, games at 144 FPS and excellent sound and vibration are the big promises of the iQOO 15
The iQOO 15 arrives in China with the processor that everyone expected, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, an SoC that places it at the top of the performance charts. So much so that iQOO comments on it with confidence its records in AnTuTu V11 exceed 4.38 million pointsmore than what Nubia promised with RedMagic 10 Pro and 10 Pro+.
Like its main rivals, the iQOO 15 integrates a special chip that helps performance in gamesthanks to rescaling and frame generation technologies. We are talking about the Q3 chip, which allows high-end images up to 2K resolution and enjoy them at up to 144 FPS. Add to that up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage, plus Android 16 and you have the perfect formula for success.
And be careful, iQOO knows that being the king of performance involves the obligation of good cooling, because temperatures rise a lot. That said, they gave the iQOO 15 what they sell it with “the largest single layer vapor chamber in the industry”. The surface of the steam chamber is 8000 mm2 and contains 200 million graphene oxide nanoparticles. Meanwhile, the total surface area of the cooling system is 14000mm2.
And what’s the point of all this? According to iQOO, thermal dissipation improves by 5% compared to iQOO 13. It seems little, but by playing Genshin Impact for more than four hours, the the maximum temperature reached is only 39.3º. It’s an excellent result, especially because that match is one of the most challenging.
Aesthetically there are few changes compared to that of 2024. However, the iQOO 15 now has Aura RGB lighting on the back and on the screen. Additionally, it includes high-resolution 1511 War Drum Master speakers optimized for gaming, as well as being the first mobile phone to have two dual-axis Warhammer MAX vibration motors. All this, of course, to achieve better immersion in the games.
50MP triple rear camera and excellent screen
In addition to all of the above, the iQOO 15 also gets a great screen. We are talking about a Samsung M14 AMOLED panel 6.85” with 2K resolutionupdate with LTPO up to 144 Hz, HBM brightness of 2600 nits, PWM of 2160 Hz and touch frequency up to 3000Hz. Come on, a real beast.
And while the cameras aren’t enough to compete with the best in the world, they aren’t bad either. The iQOO 15 offers a well-balanced setup, with three 50 MP sensors on the back (including a 3x telephoto lens) and a 32 MP one on the front. Plus, with updated image enhancement algorithms, many of which are supported by artificial intelligence.
Finally we arrive at the energy section. The iQOO 15 has a 7000 mAh battery which lags behind its main rivals, but is definitely better than the 6150 mAh one from a year ago. For its part, fast charging is 100W and wireless charging is 40W, which is very good.
