YouTube ReVanced and ReVanced Extended are considered to be the best modules of the official YouTube app that you can have right now. However, they have a problem: they are not updated. After installing one of these mods on your mobile, the first thing you need to do is to disable YouTube auto-updates on Google Play so that the official version is not installed again.
This will prevent your YouTube Revamped or Extended Extend from being replaced overnight by the official version, but will keep you stuck with the old version of YouTube. And none of these modules have auto-update functionality. In fact, they don’t even provide an option to update them from the app or the admin.
Therefore, we have prepared a step-by-step guide on how to update YouTube to the latest version of Enhanced and Enhanced Extended. Keep in mind that we are doing this tutorial assuming you have ReVanced installed on your mobile. If you haven’t already, before following the steps below, check out how to install these YouTube MODs by clicking the links above.
How to see if my YouTube has been upgraded/upgraded to the latest version
This way you can check which version of ReVanced you have installed, whether it has a pending update.
Check which version of YouTube you have installed: Open ReVanced > Tap “You” > Tap the gear icon > Select “About” > Look at the “App Version” number. You can also access this information from the Dashboard section of the Manager.Open the ReVanced Manager app (if you have YouTube ReVanced) or RVX Manager (if you have ReVanced Extended) and go to the Patcher section. Tap Select an app.One of the options that will appear will be YouTube with a message suggested: vXX.XX.XX. This message will tell you the latest version of YouTube compatible with ReVanced. If the version suggested by the app is higher than the version you have installed (which we saw in the first step), it is recommended that you update your YouTube to Enhanced or Extended. . Otherwise, you don’t need to update it.
How to update YouTube ReVanced or ReVanced Extended to the latest version
If you need to update ReVanced or ReVanced Extended, follow these steps:
First, open ReVanced Manager or RVX Manager, go to the dashboard, and load data on the attached YouTube app.Tap Uninstall and confirm by clicking Yes. Then go to APKMirror and download the APK of the recommended version of YouTube (if you don’t know which one it is, go to the Manager app, go to Patcher > select an app and see the number “Recommended” in the YouTube option) Once you install the APK, ReVanced Manager or Enter RVX Manager and select Patcher > An Application.Tap on Repository and select the APK you downloaded and tap on Patch, wait for a while and finally tap on Install.
In short, what we do to update YouTube Revanced or Revance Extend is to uninstall the current version and install the new version from scratch. that’s all! It’s a very difficult process, but it’s the only thing to update this updated app.
My recommendation is not to bother updating the application because new versions do not include important changes. Update the app when YouTube tells you that this version is out of date or has bugs that you can’t fix otherwise. Remember…if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!
