Having a second monitor for your computer can be useful for certain types of tasks and activities. Unfortunately, not everyone can afford an extra monitor. Fortunately, there is a way to turn any Android device (mobile, tablet or TV) into a secondary display for your PC. And best of all, as you can see below, the app is completely free.
How to turn your Android into PC secondary display with Splashtop app.
Turning your Android device (mobile, tablet or TV) into a second monitor for your PC is easy to use thanks to the Splashtop Wired XDisplay app. Below we explain all the steps to use it:
Download the Splashtop Wired XDisplay program on your PC from the official website (we leave the direct download button below). Open the downloaded installation file (.exe) by double clicking and wait for the installation process to complete. Once installed, the program will run automatically. If you don’t, you can search on the desktop to open it manually. Here you can choose the resolution of the second screen. After making the necessary adjustments, open the program and search for your mobile. The next thing you need to do is download the Splashtop Wired XDisplay app on your Android mobile. You can get this for free in the Play Store (we leave the download box below). Open the app and click “OK” and connect the mobile phone to the PC with a USB cable and that’s it. By doing this, the second screen of your computer will be transferred to your mobile, which you can configure as a second monitor from the Windows “Screen Settings” to reproduce, extend or improve. Finally, it is important to clarify that You need to enable USB debugging on your Android. This is enabled in the Developer Options menu where you previously had to enable it.
And you… are you going to start using your cell phone as a second screen on your computer?
