Google Docs is a very useful tool when writing files online without fear of losing progress. Microsoft Word has many utilities, although not all, sometimes it leads us to improve some solutions to speed up the work.
As for automatic capitalization, it seems a bit complicated to enable or disable the option. Before it was as simple as going to Tools and then the Preferences section, but that’s changed, and now Google Docs doesn’t have a tab where you can use automatic capitalization from within the app. But there is another method that can do the same thing from our mobile and we will explain it below.
How to turn automatic capitalization on or off in Google Docs
The easiest way to enable or disable automatic capitalization in Google Docs is through your own keyboard configuration in mobile. And, on the other hand, Google Docs has left all the work to the user’s keyboard to control their text as they wish.
To reach this point, you just have to follow the steps given below. In this tutorial we will often use Google Keyboard (GBoard) which comes by default on many Android devices and if you don’t have it, you can download it from the Play Store.
Select the gear-shaped symbol that appears from the virtual keyboard options anywhere you can use the keyboard and go to the Auto Capitalization box.
With this simple procedure, you can activate or deactivate automatic capitalization in Google Docs and in general the rest of the applications where you can write from your mobile. Things look different if you find yourself using a computer. Or you can use dedicated browser extensions to correct spelling, or manually type capitalization whenever you want.
