After requests from millions of people over the past few years, Twitch has teamed up with Samsung to include the official app of the world’s most popular live streaming platform. Although in the past you had to follow several steps to enjoy Twitch on Samsung smart TVs, the latest Tizen operating system versions allow you to install this app in just a few steps.
Got a Samsung Smart TV and want to enjoy Twitch? Well, if your television is launched in 2021 or later, you won’t have any problem installing the official app from the Samsung app store. Of course, we recommend that you follow the steps that we give you here, because they facilitate access to the application in question.
How to install Twitch on Samsung Smart TV
You will need to update the TV operating system to the latest version before following the tutorial below. If you have already done this, you should install the Twitch app in no time.
First, you need to access the main menu of your Samsung Smart TV. To do this, you need to press the home button that controls the TV. After entering the main menu, you should enter the “Applications” section. Therefore, you should click on the small magnifying glass that appears on the upper right side of the screen (it’s called “Application Search”). You will have to write the word “Twitch” (without quotes) in the search field. Within seconds, the Twitch app should appear. You will have to press on it. You have to click on the white button that says “Install”. Once the Twitch app is downloaded and installed, you can launch it to enjoy your favorite streams from your Samsung Smart TV.
Keep in mind that once the Twitch app is installed on your TV, you’ll need to log in to view custom content. Likewise, you can enjoy live streams without having to have a Twitch account.
