It is public knowledge that the social network Reddit is trying not only to change its work, but also to change its design in both mobile devices and the PC version. Without further ado, they have been constantly tweaking the social network’s interface over the past few years, which is sure to cause a lot of frustration among users who use it on a daily basis.
If you’ve noticed something strange about the social network’s appearance when you log into Reddit from your computer, using your browser of course, we don’t blame you! Exactly the same thing happened to us. Without any prior notice, Reddit automatically changed the interface in certain countries.
Basically, the position of many elements has changed, as well as the sections that allow access to subreddits. Fortunately, and at least for now, there is no need to download an extension to the browser, or use third-party applications, because there is a small method that allows you to return to the previous design of Reddit on PC.
So you can go back to the old design of Reddit for PC
As we mentioned earlier, the design change was made only in the web version of Reddit (for computers). There’s no word yet on whether it’ll port to Android and iOS, though if it does, third-party apps can be downloaded to re-enable the old design.
The first thing you need to do is to enter the Reddit website from your computer (you can use any browser you want). After logging in, you should click on the address bar. There you will have to put the word “new” next to the dot in front of “reddit.com”. To be more specific, the URL should be: “new.reddit.com”. When you press the “Enter” key on your keyboard, they will show the previous layout again.
It is important to make it clear that this should be done every time you access Reddit, as the browser will save the redirect in question.
