Even though Telegram is one of the most complete messaging apps today, there are some features that prevent various actions from happening. One of them is the inability to download videos from private groups.
If we try to download any video shared by a private Telegram group or channel that we can only access by invitation, the messaging app won’t let us, why? Because the content users share there is protected, protection previously had to be enabled by a group administrator.

So you can download any Telegram video from private groups.
Unlike downloading Twitter videos, you need to use an app other than Telegram. Fortunately, this app is nothing more than a file manager, you need to install it on your phone to download Telegram videos from private groups.
The app in question is called File and is compatible with any phone running Android 6.0 or higher. You can download it from the download box below.
Once you’ve downloaded and installed the Files app, give it the necessary permissions to access the files on your device. Once these permissions are granted, you need to click on “Android” and then enter “Data”.
Find the “org.telegram.messenger” folder and enter “Files” and click “Telegram”.
Go to the folder called “Telegram Video” and open the Telegram application and enter the private group and download the video you want to save on your mobile phone and search for the video you downloaded in Telegram. Once found, press and hold it for a couple of seconds.
Click the three vertical dots and click the “Copy to” option and select the folder where you want this video to be copied and finally click “Copy”.
Because Telegram keeps videos from private groups in a “hidden” folder, you can always find all the multimedia content shared in these groups. Of course, once the group is deleted or the Telegram cache is deleted, the videos will disappear (that’s why it’s important to copy them to another folder).
