One of the many benefits of Stremio is that it allows you to add new content to the platform (like TrackTV does) to help you discover new movies and series (like Torrentio’s case). This last group of plugins are known as “Catalogs” and I recently found one that made it easy for me to watch movies recommended by people. It is a Letterboxd addon.
If you don’t know, Letterboxd is a movie review website where people rate movies they’ve seen and recommend or bookmark their favorites. It’s one of the best apps for rating series and movies you’ve watched, and you can even integrate it with Stremio to have a selection of must-watch movies.
How to add mailbox details to Stremio
If you want to add one of your Letterboxd lists or user lists to your Stremio app, you’ll need to do the following:
Copy the link of the Letterboxd list you want to add. Open the Letterboxd addon website. Paste the link of the list in the box you see and click on Install.A Stromio window will open to find the installed list.
Ready! That way, you’ll see a catalog in Stremio that includes all the movies in the added mailbox list. Can you add more details? Yes, you can do it the same way and you can browse between different lists using the letterboxed filter option in the Discover tab.
Can I upload multiple Letterboxd lists to Stremio at once?
Not for now. Letterboxd addon for Stremio does not support installing multiple lists at once, so you have to install them one by one by following the steps we have shown before.
We know it’s boring, but there’s currently no other way to add more details. Let’s hope a future plugin developer adds that option. We’ll update this post if he does.
