The Honor Magic V3 is slimmer than ever, but that doesn’t stop it from introducing important improvements.
Honor has been hard pressed to maintain its ultra-thin foldable crown, and the new Magic V3 is 9.2mm thick when folded and 4.35mm when unfolded. This is a new story that surprised us as we didn’t think they would go this far in a year. How did they succeed? Well, improving the internal distribution and developing a 2.84 mm hinge, that is. Able to fold up to 500,000 times without causing problems.
the best? One would think that this downsizing would come with some sacrifices, but nothing could be further from the truth. Only the Magic V2 screens are the same as the Magic V3, but there are new features in all other parts.
At the design level It gets IPX8 protection And the outer screen is now guarded by King Kong Rhinoceros. Meanwhile, the processor is Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, with up to 16GB of RAM, 1TB of storage, and Android 14.
There are also new features in the camera department, now you will find these beauties: 50 MP main camera with f / 1.6 (in the V2 it was f / 1.9); 50 MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom (previously only 2.5x and 20 MP); 40 MP ultra wide angle with 112º field of view; and 20 MP front cameras with 90º field of view.
Finally, the Honor Magic V3 is thinner but gets more battery capacity and wireless charging. The battery is 5150 mAh66W fast charging and 50W wireless charging, really crazy for a small space.
The Honor Magic Vs3 is cheaper, but compared to the Magic Vs2, it completely wins
Thanks to the new hinge, the Magic Vs3 is slimmer than its predecessor. The screens are the same as what we saw last year, although the exterior now has King Kong’s rhino protection (like the V3).
The processor used in the Magic V2 is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which represents an interesting leap in performance compared to the Magic Vs2 Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Structures of RAM is up to 16 GBWhen the storage goes up to 1 TB. And the operating system? Android 14 was no other choice.
There are great improvements in the camera department, which makes it very close to the Magic V3. Of course, the main sensor is the same as last year:
50 MP main camera with f/1.9.8 MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom (previously 2.5x and 20MP) 40 MP ultra-wide angle with 112º field of view (previously 12 MP) cameras with 90º field of view (previously wide angle).
And as an icing on this cake, Honor Magic Vs3 also got 50W wireless charging like its big brother. Be careful, the battery is 5000 mAh and wired fast charging at 66 W.
