HMD is launching phones that try to compete in a way that could be the future for the rest of the smartphone industry. The back is what stands out and is a novelty in a phone that would otherwise simply pass for another mid-range. With HMD’s Smart Pins technology, can you swap the rear? (the basic color is black) from several pieces of various colors, which also have different functions: Support for wireless chargingsturdy construction for protection, transparency, etc.
Likewise, the details allow easy access to the battery and screen repair or replace them using spare parts provided by the company itself (via iFixit), ensuring the durability of the cell phone.
The HMD Fusion has a 6.56 inch screen with LCD panelHD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. It features Snapdragon 4 Gen 2accompanied by 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of storage, depending on the configuration. You can expand both features (from 4 to 12 GB of additional RAM virtually and up to 1 TB of storage space with microSD).
The battery is 5000mAh with 65W fast charging. This device comes with NFC, Bluetooth 5.1 and GPS. It comes with Android 14 from the factory and will have two major updatesgoing up to Android 16.
HMD Fusion Availability and Price
There is no official launch date for this phone at the moment, but it is known will appear first on the European market in the last quarter of 2024. It will be available in three configurations (4GB/128GB, 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB) and will start at a price of around 250 euros.
