The electric bike manufacturer Engway recently released a special edition for the 2024 Olympics, so we got one to test every feature.
At the moment, this electric bike has a discount of 200 euros in the official store of the manufacturer (we leave the offer button at the end of the article), but before you make a decision, come with us to know all the details to see if it is. worth it . Let’s go there!
Engwe P20: Urban, electric and folding bike with torque sensor and waterproof

Engwe P20 electric bike with removable Samsung battery, 250W motor with top speed limited to 25km/h, torque sensor for smooth riding experience, carbon chain, hydraulic disc brakes, water resistant and compact, foldable design to adapt to your daily life in the city .
What does the Engwe P20 electric bike look like?
As we have come to expect from this brand, the build quality of the Engwe P20 is impressive. The frame is made from high-strength, yet lightweight aluminum, with well-welded and polished joints for a great, durable finish. You can get it in black, green and white, or in the special Ace edition with a combination of black and red.
The first thing that caught my attention about the Engwe P20 is how compact it is. The maximum height of the handle is 120 cm and the maximum height of the saddle is 102 cm (both are adjustable). This means that it is not suitable for very tall people over 1.9 meters. Of course, the manufacturer recommends using it only for people with a height of 1.55 to 1.90 meters and a weight of no more than 120 kg.
If that’s still not enough for you, it can be folded to fit just 90 x 42 x 62 cm. You can take it in the trunk of your car or on public transport! And unlike other folding bikes I’ve tried, the Engwe P20’s folding system gave me no problems. After removing the locks, the case and the central part of the frame can be folded easily, without much effort.
The wheels are standard size 20 inches which is great for city driving. Likewise, it has the quietest carbon fiber I’ve ever tried. It runs very smoothly, no noise is heard while driving and according to the manufacturer, it can last up to 33,000 km without any maintenance.
On the other hand, it should be noted that it has flashing lights that can be controlled from the handle. Up front, it has a powerful white light headlight to light your way at night. At the rear, it has red brake lights on the frame and wheels. As for the brakes, the bike has good and relatively quick-reacting hydraulic disc brakes.
It also has a luggage rack that can hold up to 15kg, a removable key protected battery, IPX6 rain resistance and a 250W motor with a torque sensor, but we’ll talk about that in more depth below.
How fast is the Engwe P20 bike?
We found no surprises in terms of speed. Engwe P20 does not exceed 25 kilometers per hour, so it complies with European standards and offers safe driving in urban areas. In any case, the interesting thing about this eBike is not the speed, but the smoothness and stability that it provides when pedaling.
Its 250W motor has a torque sensor that detects the force of your pedal stroke and adjusts the electric pressure to provide a smooth ride. That along with the carbon belt makes the riding experience of this bike quieter and more enjoyable.
It has buttons with a small screen to adjust the speed. The system gives you three power levels: low (30%), medium (60%) and high (100%). Additionally, you can use Level 0 to ride the bike without electric assistance.
Another thing I like is the little trigger on the right side of the handle bar, which lets you activate the right speed for walking without pushing it.
How long does the Engwe P20 electric bike battery last?
The bike has a 36-volt Samsung-made lithium-ion battery. According to the manufacturer, this value is measured using only low power, but if we assume that it can reach 100 kilometers of autonomy, because in our tests (where we switched between different levels) the autonomy was more than 85 kilometers.
There’s a limited edition Olympic Games 2024: P20 Ace!
Before the conclusion, remembering the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, we don’t want to mention the limited edition P20 Ace of this bike and this Olympic edition has a very nice unique design with flames and colors. It features handcrafted reflective displays and only 200 units are available worldwide, making it a potential collector’s item.
Apart from the unique design, in the rest of the components Engwe P20 Ace is identical to the standard P20 model, which is why it is only 100 euros more expensive. Considering it’s a limited edition with handcrafted details, it seems like a reasonable premium to us.
Final Verdict: Engwe P20 is a good economical and practical electric bike.

The Engwe P20 is the best electric bike I’ve tested for urban use. It is compact, foldable, lightweight and built with high quality materials. In addition, it has a powerful and quiet engine with a torque sensor and a carbon belt, which makes driving a lot of fun.
It also has a long-lasting battery for city trips, quick-response hydraulic disc brakes and a number of useful extra features such as a luggage rack, front and rear lights and a battery anti-theft system. Perfect for commuting, running errands or just hanging out.
It’s worth mentioning that it doesn’t have suspension or gear shifting, but considering it’s a bike designed for use on paved city roads, we don’t see a problem with that. Its official price is € 1,299, but now you can find it in the official Engwe store 1099 euros Using this key:
