Trying to improve one of its most used features, the one that allows you to upload Stories, Instagram is looking for this feature to offer more uses. Well, from now on Any user can create group stories in the style of the famous WhatsApp groups.
Activating progressively throughout the world, this innovation allows you to include more users within the same group, where you can only upload stories.
How to create a group story on Instagram?
Considering that this is a new feature, you will be forced to update the Instagram application to the latest version in order to access it. If you have already updated the app, you should be able to do so create a group story following these steps:
- Open Instagram from your mobile device.
- Scroll through stories to the right (scrolling from left to right).
- A function called “New group”click on it.
- Write the name you want the group to haveand select the people you want to be part of said group.
- Finally, press “Create group history”.
How to upload a story to an Instagram group?
Once you have created the group, or a friend has added you to a specific one, you can upload stories quickly and easily. Likewise, Instagram does not impose any kind of limitation in this regard, therefore You will have the opportunity to upload as many Stories as you want.
- Click on the group you created or the one you were included in.
- Capture a photo or video or upload content from your mobile gallery.
- Check that the group name appears in the top left corner of the screen. Click “Share” to upload the story to the group.
- In a few seconds, Other users in the group will be able to see the storyas well as add comments.
How do Instagram group stories work?
Unlike the group profiles that landed on Instagram some time ago, group stories try to offer other social options when interacting with friends within the social network.
In short, it is a tool where Group members can upload stories that only the people inside can see.

- Who can see the group’s stories: Only members of the group can see Stories.
- Share stories outside of the group: No group member can share stories.

Like WhatsApp groups, group stories can be deleted quickly and easily (via group settings). On the other hand, members can also be removed (you don’t need to delete the group).
