In other words: CMF is an economy-focused sub-brand, but that doesn’t mean it stops offering interesting equipment. The proof of this is in its headphones (like the CMF Buds Pro) and its smartwatches (like the CMF Watch Pro), two areas where the brand is very new but has hit hard.
Now, CMF is thinking of entering another market: cool and cheap mobile phones. as a? Well, nothing less than the CMF Phone 1, a cheap mobile phone that doesn’t lose in innovation, because it really delivers. You’ll see why we say that, because we’ll show you all the details.

It wouldn’t have been like this a few years ago, but it’s the CMF Phone 1 today. A unique mobile phone in its style, a true rarity of design.. Why do we say that? Because we are in a market where all the companies produce single phones, but CMF has a flexible back.
Yes, you are not reading wrong, you can change the back cover of CMF Phone 1. You only have to remove the four screws to remove the stock one and insert a new one. It is something that evokes a lot of nostalgia among users and we love it for many reasons. Useful, different, allows more customization And it’s also ahead of European standards, which require greater ease of replacing components.
Unfortunately, the battery is “non-removable”. Be careful, and we put it in quotes because you can remove it, but there is glue and adhesive that prevents it from being the old “remove and put” process.
Another interesting detail of the back cover is the small rotary button in the lower right corner. When you remove it, it can be used to add three product accessories (for now): card holder, table stand or case strap.
Other than that, the CMF Phone 1 has a modest design that doesn’t draw much attention, with a plastic body, plastic or vegan leather back and some metal details. It’s nothing big if you compare it to No Phone (1) and Phone (2), but it’s innovative.

The CMF Phone 1 has very balanced and competitive hardware for the price.
The CMF Phone 1 comes with the best screen for the price: a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate and 2000 nits maximum brightness.
Its processor is the MediaTek Dimensity 7300, a very performing mid-range chip (634,847 points on AnTuTu average). In addition, with 8 GB of RAM, 128 or 256 GB of storage (expandable), 5000 mAh battery and 33 W fast chargingA good level combination.
If we add Android 14 and No OS 2.6 to all that, we have the perfect equation. because of? Because any operating system is one of the new customization layers and it’s well optimized.
And the cameras? The original CMF Mobile has a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP secondary camera for portraits on the back as well as a 16MP front camera. This is probably its weakest point, especially since there’s no optical image stabilization (OIS), although it’s still aggravating when you remember that it’s still nothing short of getting the most out of phone cameras.
But for a device under 300 euros, it is not fatal, which is very good in everything.
