Citra was known as the best Nintendo 3DS emulator for Android. And we speak in the past tense, because with Yuzu, this empire also fell to the interests of Nintendo. So the development ended, leaving us with the latest in the Internet Archive.
And even though it seems hopeless, it’s good to know that there is hope at the end of the tunnel. As always, when one emulator fails, another one pops up and in this case we are talking about Lemonade, the Citra Enhanced interface developed by the same developer in different ways.
Citra Enhanced (Lemonade): Everything you need to know

A Reddit post announced the creation of an all-new Citra Enhanced version of Lemonade, which is developed in Kotlin. Considering Citra was canceled for legal reasons, any development based on it could be penalized by Nintendo. So the project now called Lemon will be a completely new emulator built from scratch.
The creator is the one behind Citra Enhanced (improved version of Citra); In the chosen technology (Kotlin) clearly informed the lack of maturity. So you will check as you go how to get a fully working emulator.
This means we’ll have to wait a little longer to get a stable lemon version, although it’s definitely worth it. In its heyday, Sitra was considered the best Nintendo 3DS emulator for Android as it could play a huge number of titles without any issues.
For Nintendo fans, it represents an opportunity to rekindle nostalgia for games from years ago, or for Nintendo to try out something that has become the cornerstone of the industry.
No matter how many sanctions or legal procedures are applied to shut down the projects, there is no doubt that the world of emulators cannot be stopped. And since, technically, imitations like that aren’t illegal, projects like Lemonade pop up to duplicate any title from past consoles on Android or other devices.
If you want to see Lemon’s progress, the creator publishes them continuously from his place on GitHub.
