A lot of people, including myself, have a problem with TWS wireless headphones: they fall out. Although the design of earphones like AirPods has been found to be very comfortable for any user so far, the truth is that it doesn’t take long for them to fall out when you suddenly start running or moving. Or at least that’s what happened to me.
Fortunately, there is a whole category of headphones that solves this problem and has become popular in recent years. We’re talking about open-back headphones, a type of headphone that prioritizes comfort and stability by leaving the earcups free and holding the back of the ear tightly. They are used a lot by athletes while training and are a great option if you need wireless headphones that won’t fall off.
One of the headphones with the best quality-price ratio in this sub-segment is the Baseus Eli Sport 1, which is already ready for analysis on our analysis table. We have been using it for a week and here are our conclusions.
Baseus Eli Sport 1: headphones that don’t fall, great drivers and good autonomy

Bezeus is not a new brand in the world of headphones. We already reviewed their Baseus Bowie MA10, Baseus Encok W11 and Baseus WM01 Plus here. And the truth is that the brand has not stopped improving over time. The Bezeus Eli Sport 1 are my favorite so far and I’ll tell you why right away.
Specifications of Baseus Eli Sport 1
What does the Baseus Eli Sport 1 look like?
Baseus Eli Sport 1 is mainly made of plastic and silicone. They feel sturdy and don’t seem to break easily. They have IPX4 protection, which means they protect against raindrops, but they are not suitable for swimming or diving.

I have black with dark blue, but you can also find them only white or white with green. The charging case follows the color of the headset and has a very cool clear lid. It also has a USB-C port for charging the headset and magnets on the inside. It’s very light and even though it’s a little bigger than AirPods, it can be easily carried in your pocket.

Each earbud weighs 9.9 grams and has an intimidatingly bulky shape at first because it makes the Baseus Eli Sport 1 look bigger than most TWS headphones, but once you install it, all doubts are cleared. They are more comfortable than expected and provide good support. They stick to the back of your ear and remain “in the air” to send the sound without touching your ear canal.

What I like most about these headphones is that they don’t put pressure on your ears, which allowed me to use them for hours straight without any problems. Now, since they don’t go inside your ears, they can’t offer active or passive noise cancellation. However, I don’t think this is necessarily a bad thing, as these headphones are designed to be used on the move and not being able to hear your surroundings while on the road can be dangerous.

Does the Baseus Eli Sport 1 sound outside? Yes, all open-back headphones like these have some degree of sound leakage. It’s their nature. However, with the Baseus Eli Sport 1 it’s much less filtered thanks to the directional acoustic technology that sends sound directly into your inner ear at a 20° angle. This means that no one can know what you are listening to, unless they are very close to you. Note that this filter can be adjusted by controlling the volume of the headphones.

In addition to a case and USB-C charging cable, these headphones also come with a cable that easily attaches to their black rubber bands. This way, if you want, you can join the two parts of the headset and put it around your neck for extra security.
The Baseus Eli Sport 1 mobile app lets you easily change 12 settings, customize the headset’s touch control, check battery level, update firmware, and even find it if you lose it.

How is the sound quality of the Baseus Eli Sport 1?
I was not surprised by the sound quality of the Baseus Eli Sport 1, which came from the Bowie MA10. They have the same sound signature with a “V” shaped frequency adjustment, which enhances the vocals and especially the bass. Bass feels punchy and satisfying on these headphones, especially in urban music genres (rap, trap, reggaeton, etc.).
Everything seems very clear and defined, without any distortion even at the highest volume level. It is worth mentioning that they use 16.2 mm dynamic drivers and connect via Bluetooth 5.3 with an almost non-existent delay of 0.06 seconds. They are not at the level of headphones for speakers, as they have weaknesses in the mid-range, but for 99% of people, their sound quality will be pleasant.
Of course, I have to highlight the wide soundstage it achieves thanks to its open design, which allows you to perceive the distance between the different sounds that make up a song in a more natural way.
As someone who likes high-fidelity audio, I don’t use these headphones to sit down and listen to music up close, but I prefer them over other headphones when I’m running or working out. The high-fidelity IEMs I own aren’t half as comfortable for training as the Baseus Eli Sport 1, not even installing wireless adapters.

They only support basic audio codecs (AAC and SBC) and not advanced codecs like Qualcomm’s aptX or Sony’s LDAC. But this doesn’t particularly bother me because I only use the Bayesian Turtle Sport 1 to listen to music while doing other activities. When I really want to listen to a song that pays attention to every detail, I always use wired headphones that give me better sound quality than lossy Bluetooth audio transmission.
On the other hand, note that there are two microphones in each earpiece, which can be noticed when using them on calls. I was able to talk through them without raising my voice so that they could hear me on the other end. Their microphones are used to cancel noises during calls thanks to the ENC technology they include, although it is not a very powerful cancellation.
How long does the battery last on the Baseus Eli Sport 1 headphones?
Theoretically, the battery of these headphones lasts 7.5 hours, and with the charging case (using the volume at 50%), they reach 30 hours of autonomy. In practice, at volume, the autonomy is reduced to about 5 hours, which is the minimum I ask for this type of headphones.
They take 1 hour to fully charge, but give you 2 hours of autonomy with just 10 minutes of charging.
Final Verdict: If you want headphones that won’t fall out while running, the Baseus Eli Sport 1 won’t disappoint.

The Baseus Eli Sport 1 headphones are an ideal option for athletes and those who want comfort and stability in wireless headphones. Their open design frees up the ear canal and they stick tightly to the back of the ear, preventing them from falling easily during physical activity.
They are solidly built and IPX4 water resistant, sweat and rain resistant. Although they do not have noise cancellation, their design allows you to be aware of your surroundings, which is important for safety when running. They also have directional acoustic technology, reducing sound emissions and directing them towards the ear. Despite their large shape, they are incredibly comfortable and provide good support.
Ah! And the sound quality is pretty good for the price. They cost €89.99, although you can only get them now. 79,99 euros With this button:
